Exhibition of children’s handicrafts

On Wednesday, 15 August 2012, during the celebration of the Library St. Patron Day, children who are members of the Glavinci Library and the librarian Ružica Popović, organized exhibition of children’s handicrafts at the Cultural Center in Glavinci. The visitors attended the cultural-artistic program and were able to buy the handicrafts. The motive of the exhibition was to collect money and buy books for pre-school children.
The exhibition was initiated by the children who attended the Handicrafts workshop. It is very popular among children, especially primary school girls.. The workshop is education and creative and children learn how to make different objects and spend their free time in a creative way. The librarian works with children selflessly and gives them full attention.
The handicrafts at the exhibition were: bracelets, necklaces, mats (handmade), bags (made of old jeans), crocheted blouses.
According to the librarian, the money will be kept until the next Book Fair in Belgrade, so they can buy books for children.
